About The Food and More Project

This Project is large, exciting and ambitious. It is borne out of a great concern that the UK is becoming very vulnerable in terms of its future food supplies. To deliver the project, we believe that the way we produce, process and distribute our food and who owns "the food chain" needs literally turning on its head. The project believes in consumers and producers working together in practical partnership arrangements where the length of the "food chain" is reduced massively with consumers effectively having some "ownership" of their food production and the producers having some ownership of the processing, distribution and selling of the foods they have produced.

The Project team has completed preliminary work with the next step being the completion of a full business plan, the identification of sites and the raising of capital... In terms of scale this is a multi-million pound project which will become a very important part of many of our everday lives.

The buisness plan will deliver full project specifications including partnership ownership structures. The business plan will be funded through the Community Interest Company Registered Food and More Project CIC which is a not for profit organisation.
